How does the government housing subsidy work?

The government housing subsidy, known as FLISP (Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme), is a subsidy aimed at first-time buyers, specifically those who fall within a low-income bracket.

The subsidy ranges from R30 001 to R130 000, and is paid out by the National Housing Finance Corporation (NHFC), to home buyers who qualify.

Your income must range from R3 501 to R22 000 per month in order to qualify.

You can apply online through ooba Home Loans. We submit the application on your behalf and monitor its status.
