Can you still make an offer on a house if it’s already under offer?
The Offer to Purchase may include a clause that allows the owner to keep marketing the property until all suspensive clauses have been fulfilled, in which case the owner can accept another offer (although they are required to give the original buyer 72 hours to fulfill their suspensive clauses before they can accept the new offer). The new offer should have fewer, or preferably no suspensive clauses that need to be filled.
If you see that the home is ‘Under Offer’, you may still be able to make an offer subject to the 72-hour clause.
